my effed up laptop [07 Oct 2003|07:37pm]
[ mood | stressed ]

well, other than an absolutely stressful math quiz today, not much has happened...EXCEPT MY LAPTOP HAS TAKEN THE HIGHWAY TO SHITFIELDVILLETON! it kinda started a few days ago when i started to see these strange lines on the screen.. at first i thought it might have been the brightness of the screen or just my eyes but boy was i wrong. so, the lines continued to get worse and sometimes i would start up the computer and just see lines and boxes, and it looked like a bunch of technical crap that should never be seen. the lines didn't bother me too much when they were just kinda in the background, well, actually they did bother me.. A LOT, but i was too lazy to go to the help desk. so anyways, the lines continued to show up on the screen and i thought i might have a virus. hey ho, not that either. finally, today, i started up ol trusty and it was taken over by lines. i couldn't decipher a single thing that was on the screen. i turned it off and on about 7384623 times, and then it started working again with the lines in the backgrounf of course. but then, my interenet wouldn't work! i go on my moms computer and her internet is fine as usual so i threw the laptop on the hardwood floor and the screen shattered.. no just kidding. i shut it down and put it away for the century. now i'm on my moms perfectly fine, internet-working computer waiting to take my laptop to the help desk. exciting eh?

and, i forgot to mention that my parents, patty and rich, got into a huge argument tonight at dinner. i had a piano lesson today and i hadn't practiced a single minute until today. my mom asked me how i did at my lesson, and i told her good, which i actually really did do, surprisingly. then she tells me that starting this week, i will have to play piano for about 30 minutes everday! i don't have time or the want to do that! nobody who ever takes piano lessons actually practices do they? so then i tell her david and jaimie never practice but she tells me not to compare myself with others. (rolls eyes). then rich starts this big speech about how he works his rear quarters off just so i can go to a private school and how lazy i am and and how little (or no) volunteer work i do. but his 'tone of voice' was very harsh and ruthless so my mom got angry at him since he was being so over-reactive. then i get up to walk away from the dinner table and he yells "sit down". so, of course i do and then he continues on with his absolutely insane speech until he asks, "do you understand"? from past experiences, i have learned to always answer that question YES. then i walk out and next thing i know, my laptop's out of wack and my mom and (step)dad are having it out upstairs. it seems everything is out of wack today here in byzantine (from the thesaurus) bTown.

hangover-ed [05 Oct 2003|12:44pm]
[ mood | blah ]

(wipes up drool from chin).. good morning. i just got back from church after waking up at 9:20 which is way too early for a weekend morning. last night was anna's and sarah's birthday partay which was tres nice. it was at sherwood in greensboro, of course. why don't we ever do anything in BIG OL BTOWN?? the party was kinda taken by freshman which was strange. they started jumping around trying to touch the ceiling tiles with their heads. but anyways, i got to see anne marie and kelly who i hadn't seen in a long time. actually, since last valentine's day, so that was exciting. so, anyways, i drove home with wavy davy and got home sometime around 12ish which explains my blah morning.

yester-friday was brittany's surprise big 15 birthday party. it was quite controversial. it started out obviously with a surprise. katy had taken brittany out til around 6:30 'o clock and then she walked into the bonus room and we popped out and surprised her. what else would you do at a surprise party? then we sat around for a little bit while everyone tried to pry paula's eyes from the tv screen. she was enveloped in blue streak for about an hour and a half of the party. then it was someone's absolutely BRILLIANT idea to go snipe hunting. if you don't know what snipe hunting is, do not read past this line. words cannot describe snipe hunting if you have never experienced it before. anyways, brittany, julie, anna, shana, lindsey and paula were taken to the top of this hill in the woods by ali, caroline, mara, patrick, katy, and me. ali gave the "hunters" the pillowcase to catch the squirrel-like bird-egg eating mammal of course. while they had their eye's peeled for the creature, we (ali, caroline, mara, patrick, katy, and me) bounced. we ran through the woods, through creeks, and over some mulch like mush that completely ATE my rainbow sandal. lindsey and paula were screaming for someone to help as we ran away screaming at the top of our lungs. later, i heard that brittany was declaring ali's damnation if she didn't get her ass over there and help her over the creek. keep in mind that it IS brittany's party and she didn't even want to cross the river the first time when we were heading to the hill. soonly, the scramblers got back to ali's house and washed off our feet and shoes. sometime later, i would guess around 20 - 30 minutes later, lindsey and paula pranced up to the house. and then about 10 - 20 more minutes later, after ali had gone back into the woods to rescue them, the rest of the crew stormed up, not that i blame them for storming. there was some kicking, punching, sreaming, and yes, even some pinching and soon, half of us were in the bonus room watching american pie while the other half was in ali's room playing the silent game.. you know that one right? great party game huh? anyways, to draw this story to a close, anna and some of her friends left early because i think the silent game had completely drained them. brittany, one of the silent gamers, came into the bonus room and was actually very forgiving. she said that she understood that it was a joke but that they were out on the top of a hill about a quarter of a mile away stranded face to face with a deer. that made her shake in her boots just a tid and i think that's when she thought it was too harsh of a joke. but, brittany spent the night with ali and caroline and they said they stayed up talking all night. so, as far as i know, it's all cool, but i don't think we will be playing snipe hunting again... EVER!

first entry! woot woot! [30 Sep 2003|07:28pm]
[ mood | high ]

cute but psycho
you are the cute but psycho happy bunny. You
adorable, but a little out there. It's alright,
you might not have it all, but there are worse

which happy bunny are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

so, this is my first post.. woot woot. i probly will end up not updating this all that often, but i will try to as much as i can, whenever i can. anyways, i'm a psychotic bunny. i don't know if these things are really accurate, but am i really that psychotic? come on...GINNY is psychotic!

today was pretty boring like most days. i got a 99 on my physics... not physics, chemistry test which is awesome!! *spins new years noise makers* i did have an algebra 2 quiz, yes algebra 2 ADVANCED!, and i'm so effing scared i did bad on. it would really kill my average because i've gotten a 74, 74, 89, and a 93 so far. one of the 74's is a test for your information...yes i am very consistently inconsistent and i wish my 93 was the test! but who really cares, other than my absolute psycho mom. it's just a grade. later, i had piano with ms. hASSell. she tries to be encouraging yet she's like, well it's all off rhythm. don't you hate when people try to be encouraging, but it just comes out wrong? i'd rather them just say it definitely needs work, but i understand that you didn't have a lot of time to practice last week. i'm playing sonata in g major by beethoven and castanets by catherine rollin in case you're wondering. i will have been playing for 3 years this coming october.

anyways.. i think that's about it except for the 100 grand episode of trading spaces. yes, i have to admit that i like that show (sigh). i just saw a commercial for it, and i can't wait. i've always wondered though if the people who own the houses have to pay the $1000 for them to come and play trading spaces at their house. i did hear though that if the designers go over budget that they have to pay the difference with their OWN money!! if i was a designer, i would be sure to not go over budget.. sheesh.

that's it. i'm out plus wheel of fortune is on... it was my grandmother's favorite show. she died august 30 so today is the one month anniversary. you don't know how much i miss her. she was always there for me. everyday after school, she would be first in the carpool line. she would get there and to all my school events like christmas pageants so much earlier than everyone else just to make sure that she had a good seat or that i wouldn't have to wait for her in the carpool line. she sat at home with me after school since i can remember. she was my greatest piano fan and i wish she was still here to hear me. it's been so hard to get over it but i've just had to realize that i have to move on. she was by far, though, the best person i've ever known.
